Holy war is in great talk these days.War always leads to suffering and loss of innocent lives.The act that brings misery to innumberable people cannot be holy. Bloodshed has been decried by saints and prophets of all ages.Non-violence has been declared the supreme Dharma of the mankind.
Non-violence is the supreme virtue that should be practiced by one and all.All the saints and prophets have used non-violence as their great weapon to face the worst tyranny� of their ages.Mahatma Gandhi used this weapon of the brave to fight agaist the greatest empire of that time to win independance of India.The experiment of Great Gandhi has been emulated by others also.Violence cannot be justified for the achievement of any noble cause.
Sant Dariya Saheb Bihar Wale, a great saint of 17th century says that true scriptures are those that preach non-violence (Nigam soi jo daya bakhane).Gandhi in the preface of his book named Anashakti Yoga says that Gita� too, preaches non-violence.
In the battle field, a victory can be achieved at the plane of the body. Such victory is not durable. The vanquished is always in preparation for the next battle to avenge the defeat.Victory at the plane of spirit is the real�and lasting victory.And, the victory of the spirit is achieved by non-violent means.A victory without any bloodshed is the true victory.
The great Buddha in Dhammpada has said the following:

Jayam veram pasavati,
(Victory breeds hatred.The defeated live in pain.Happily the peaceful live, giving up victory and defeat.)
In this world hatreds never cease through hatred.Through love alone they cease. This is an eternal law.Wisdom is the sword that saints and prophets have employed to wage battle against the ignorant and got the lasting victory.Massage of Lord Buddha has spread far and wide without the use of any force. This message should be learned by the mankind.
Sant Dariya Saheb has justified the violence to kill the internal demons like avarice,hatred ,lust etc. to purify the mind.Holy war is waged against the ill-thoughts that appear on the surface of mind.Only those who win this battle are victorious.The rest are defeated though they may have won thousands of earthly battles.��
If the mother earth is to remain habitable, its children have to follow Gandhi to use the weapon of truth and non-violence to settle conflicts.The war that is waged with the weapons of truth and non-violence, where there is no bloodshed, is the holy-war.
The warrior of God are those who make supreme sacrifice of their lives at the altar�of truth.They never take lives of others.������������
